January 2026 Lunch Menu
Bethel Rescue visited Telstar today to showcase their services, jobs, and the youth program, EMS ConnectME. Students from the JMG Career Readiness and Senior Foundations classes worked with stethoscopes and cuffs in addition to simulating a fall service call featuring the JMG Specialist, Ms. MC, and physical science teacher, Ms. Hanscom. It was a fun opportunity to learn more about the medical field and build community connections!

School Zone Lights at Telstar Update:
Thank you for your patience as we are still experiencing technical difficulties at this time. I am trying to work with tech support in California to troubleshoot why they are not flashing. The school zone times when it is 15 mph are 7-8am and 2-3pm when school is in session. We appreciate the locals still adhering to the speed limit during that time and the OCSO for being present when possible.

As our community navigates the challenges of the fall/winter season and the continuing impacts of the government shutdown, the MSAD#44 Family wants to ensure that every resident has access to the support they need. Our dedicated social work team has compiled a comprehensive Community Resource Page to help connect our neighbors with vital services.

What it is: This is a centralized list of resources, including food assistance, heating and utility aid, and other essential community services.

Live and Updated: The resource page is a live link and will be continually updated as our team gathers new information. We encourage you to check it frequently.

Where to Find the Link: On the flyer it is under the FIND LOCAL FOOD ASSISTANCE portion or linked here.

We understand that these are trying times, and you don't have to face them alone. If you or your family are in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. You can always contact your local MSAD#44 school directly. Our staff is prepared to listen and help direct you to the services best suited to assist you.

We are proud to serve and support the greater MSAD#44 community.

This week our school Board Education Committee visited TFA (Telstar Freshman Academy) on Tuesday for a tour and to see the program in action. Committee members were able to see Ms. Dole's science class where they were working on Rube Goldberg designs and Mr. Bennett's ELA class where they were doing research and working on paraphrasing without copy/pasting. Also that day, we were not able to catch up with the Outdoor Leadership students who were in their canoes going through the obstacle course. Later in the week two Board members, Ms. Herbeck and Ms. Cooley joined in for Rube Goldberg relays with the students. The staff and students were very pleased to have the guests and to show off what they were doing in their classes.
