The THS LEAP Pathway students explored the Maine MILL museum in Lewiston today. We learned so much about Maine's textile, brick-making and shoe-making industries. We also learned how the Androscoggin River and the hard work of different immigrant groups made the industry possible and about the people who were displaced to build the mills. It was a great trip that ended with a friendly STEM project: designing and building our own shoes. Thanks to the Maine MILL Museum for being so awesome!
