Open House

On September 16th we supply refreshments

and have our PTA signup.

 

Craft Fair

October 17th will be a busy place at WES.  The PTA offers a chance for some early Holiday

Shopping.  A silent Auction, 50/50 raffle,

breakfast, lunch and baked goodies at our

Annual Craft Fair.

 

Grandparents / Special Friends Day

October 23rd we help support the school on this day by providing Grandparents & Special Friends with baked goods and special gifts.

 

Halloween Party

October 30th a fortune to behold, donut eating    competition, ghost toss, pin the nose on the

pumpkin, and horse wagon rides, what else could we be talking about?  The popular Halloween Party of course.

 

Cookies with Santa

December 4th we provide an evening for

our Woodstock Students, and local families

filled with crafts, goodies, games and

A visit from someone special.

 

Valentine’s Family Dance

February 12th families come play games,

freeze dance and enjoy refreshments. 

Fun is sure to be had at this event.

 

Theater

WPTA brings a special performance

to WES every spring.

 

Sports Awards

On May 25th our 4th and 5th grade athletes deserve to be recognized for their efforts in athletics.  We purchase awards, ice cream sundaes,

and supplies.

 

Staff Appreciation

The WPTA dedicates a week to our WES staff!  Trivia about our students brings prizes for staff along with a special luncheon, and to top it off we purchase a set of Ellison Die Cuts for the staff to use on Bulletin Boards and in their class rooms.

W.P.T.A. Sponsors

 

 

Child Care:  We provide free childcare for our monthly meetings.

 

Bike Safety:  We purchase bike helmets to help keep children them safe over the summer.

 

Book Awards:  Gift Certificates are given to the

highest and most improved students in each grade.

 

Charitable Donation:  Each year we give $100 to a local charity for the holiday, and we donate to

families in need.

 

Coach Reimbursement:  Received by coaches that have gone through the fingerprinting process to

qualify for coaching in our district.

 

K Start Up:  $50 is given to the Kindergarten class

to start their classroom account that travels with

their class for things such as field trips.

 

Library Books:  $800 is given to the Woodstock School Library for new books each year.

 

Promotion:  We give the 5th grade $100 to help

with  their promotion night.

 

PTA Conference:  Two members attend the State Conference when available to receive information

 

Free Book Give Away:  We give $300 to provide

new books to each student throughout the year.

 

School Improvement:  $500 is allocated to purchase items that may be needed by the school.

 

Student Council:  $350 is given to this active group, that is always boosting the school spirit.

 

Student of the Week:  We purchase certificates and special pencils to recognize the teacher’s pick of the week. 

 

Yearbook:  We donate a sizeable amount toward the cost of purchasing yearbooks.
