The goal of Project Opportunity, Inc. is simply to ensure that Telstar Students receive the post-secondary education that is so important in today's economy.

Project Opportunity and Telstar High School have been partner recipients of a College Access Grant from the MELMAC Education Foundation since spring 2003.  The goal of this grant is to increase the number of students who go on to college.  In recent years the grant has made it possible for all Telstar sophomores to visit college campuses and for juniors and seniors to take advantage of a five-week course to improve their SAT scores.  Furthermore, through the grant parents have been able to get assistance in the college search and application process from their child’s guidance counselor during evening hours in their community’s elementary school.
