Welcome to our website!
Telstar Regional Middle/High School is a fully accredited school nestled in the beautiful Western Maine mountains. We are located in Bethel and serve students in grades 6-12 from the communities of Andover, Bethel, Greenwood, Newry, and Woodstock.
Telstar is named after the Telstar satellite, the first satellite to transmit wireless communication between Europe and North America. The North American site was in Andover, Maine.
Like our namesake satellite, Telstar Regional Middle/High School is known for being on the cutting edge of education. We were one of the first schools in Maine to win a Comprehensive School Reform Development grant to implement many of the practices in Maine's Promising Futures. We are viewed as leaders in the state in the areas of student advisory programs and senior exhibitions.
It is our goal to teach our students the skills necessary to succeed in today's world and also to encourage them to become lifelong learners so that they will thrive in the world of the future.
